PUNTA CANA. Canada’s leading airline has presented a couple of new routes to the Caribbean for the coming winter season.
Air Canada announced its plans to launch new winter flights from Quebec City to the two most popular destinations in the Caribbean region: Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Cancun in Mexico.
The new service to Punta Cana will be held from December 22 until April 12, 2020, while in Cancun, Mexico, it plans to operate from December 21 to April 11, 2020.
For Lucie Guillemette, executive vice president and commercial director of Air Canada, she said “we are delighted to offer Quebec City residents these nonstop connections to the popular winter getaway destinations of Cancun and Punta Cana.”
“We are incorporating these new international leisure routes to meet the anticipated demand of the capital of Quebec and offer Quebec City residents easy access to incredible vacation experiences,” he added.
It is, however, the first major expansion for the airline since the company announced its exclusive agreement to seek a combination with the Canadian travel giant Transat.
We are talking about the latest new Caribbean service for the company Air Canada, which recently announced plans to expand its service to St Kitts, in the Eastern Caribbean.
